‘Ronnie’s’ ~ Oliver Murray’s Documentary of the Man

This film is very much a love letter to Ronnie Scott and his famed London jazz club’s continued legacy.

A fine, fiery album this is, with strong underpinnings of the fretboard mastery displayed by his early guitar heroes.

Virtuoso playing. Exuberant singing in the traditional bluegrass manner. Highly recommended for the sheer joy of it.

This is contemporary post-bop jazz at its best – inventive, melodic and relentless in its propulsion. Ear-opening listening for all music fans.
