Escondido ‘The Ghost of Escondido’ Album Review

Ten songs, 32 minutes of sonic bliss that are destined to make this year of 2013 a powerful, low-key musical statement.

Jesse Cook has played this city many times, and always to a devoted and enthusiastic crowd, but never more so than this time around.

Wanda Jackson, the Queen of Rockabilly, rocked The Venue Nightclub in an all-too-brief but spectacular presentation.

None of the Boys and Girls album cuts lack for energy or intensity. Even the quiet moments are palpable beauties.

Chris Botti wowed the crowd as well as the orchestra in delivering one of the best concerts heard in Vancouver this year.

Chuck Prophet is a superb songwriter and a fine guitarist. He is backed by a cracking band.
